Mesh size determines your target species — as a working rule, mesh opening should roughly match the girth of the fish at its widest point. Common pairings our buyers order:

• 100–200 mm — cod, salmon, large pelagics, aquaculture harvest nets

Filament diameter is a trade-off: thinner monofilament (0.20–0.25 mm) is less visible underwater and catches better in clear water; thicker (0.35–0.50 mm) survives rocky bottoms, strong current and predator damage. If you fish mixed grounds, most crews order two diameters in the same mesh size.
