Denier is durability — match it to the fishery: 380–500D suits small pelagics and shallow coastal sets where lightness matters; 1000–1500D is the all-round coastal range most fleets standardize on; 2000D+ is for heavy offshore work and tuna-class species where the net must survive repeated hard hauling. One note before you switch from nylon: PE stretches less, so the hanging coefficient is different — send your net plan and we will confirm the correct ratio.
