High-Quality Nylon Multifilament Knotted Fishing Net 210D/380D — 2-150 Ply Heavy-Duty

A trawl codend and a purse seine do not fail gracefully — when a seam lets go under a full bag, you lose the tow, the fish and hours of deck time in a single event. This knotted multifilament range, built up to 150 ply, is engineered for exactly that load class: heavy ground gear, codends and seine sections where a 9-ply panel is not a ceiling, it is a starting point.

Built for the Loaded Codend

  • Ply to 150 for extreme duty — where most lines stop at 9 ply, this one goes to 150 ply for codends, bunt sections and heavy seine wings that carry full loads
  • Double-knotted intersections — anti-slip knots hold mesh shape under the constant strain of a full bag, not just at slack hauling speed
  • Nylon or polyester, your call — nylon absorbs shock and returns; polyester holds dimension with less stretch, keeping trawl geometry honest at towing speed
  • Failure-mode thinking in every seam — high-ply netting is pointless if the selvedge and hanging lines give out first; panels are built as a system with the rigging spec
  • Damage tolerance — thick multi-strand yarns survive snags and rock contact that would notch or break a lighter twine, buying repair time instead of replacement

Nylon or Polyester? Match the Fiber to the Gear

Fiber choice changes how the panel behaves under load, and getting it wrong shows up as torn seams or distorted mesh — not as a label difference:

  • Nylon (PA) — stretches under load and absorbs shock, which protects panels when a school surges; the standard for purse seines, gillnets and farm nets that take sudden loads
  • Polyester (PET) — far less stretch, holds mesh dimensions under steady high load; the usual choice for trawl bodies and codends where shape and water flow matter more than give

As a working guide: 10–40 ply for mid-water trawl bodies and seine panels; 60–150 ply for codends, bunt sections and ground gear. Tell us the gear type and towing depth — we will quote ply, fiber and mesh as one engineered panel rather than three separate decisions.
