The Model 002 dense-mesh net is designed around splicing, with a thickened HDPE construction that survives the join, the tension, and several seasons after it.

Splicing Without Creating a Weak Line

• 60-100 mesh dense weave — dense enough to stop the small greenhouse pests — thrips, whitefly, leafminer — that walk through 20-40 mesh screens, while staying light enough for wind to pass through rather than balloon the sheet

Splice Joint Practice on Site

Overlap the two sheets by at least 150 mm and fasten through both layers, running the fixing line along the seam rather than across it — cross-fixings pinch the weave into a weak hinge. Sewn joins travel well for export shipments; heat-seal joins are faster on site but only as strong as the machine operator's temperature control, so specify sewn if your crew is not experienced with film-style welding. Tension the joined panel progressively from the center splice outward, never pulling from one edge, or the seam will take all the load and distort. Order width multiples that divide your span evenly — 6 m rolls for a 12 m bay — and keep one spare roll in the same spec: greenhouse netting always gets patched, and a mismatched patch weave is visible to pests even when it is invisible to the eye.
