Nylon Multifilament Fishing Net 210D / 380D — 2-9 Ply Custom UV-Resistant

Multifilament twine behaves differently from monofilament in ways that matter on deck: it is softer, holds knots more reliably, and lets you scale strength by plying strands instead of fattening a single filament. If your crew is tired of stiff mono panels that tangle in the wind and bruise fish at grading, this 210D/380D line is the practical swap — strength you can dial in, handling your crew will notice on the first set.

Why Twine, Not Mono

  • Knots that seat and stay — twisted multi-strand yarns bed into the knot properly, so mesh geometry holds under load where single-filament knots can slip or cut themselves
  • Soft hand, kinder to catch — flexible netting reduces scale damage and gill tearing in live-fish and aquaculture work, which improves survival and grade-out
  • Strength by ply, not diameter — add plies instead of switching materials; the same denier family covers fingerling work at 2-ply and market-size harvest at 8–9 ply
  • UV-stabilised with anti-fray treatment — surface protection stops micro-splitting where yarns rub frames and floats, the failure mode that ends untreated twine after one season
  • Consistent diameter, consistent mesh — tensioned twisting keeps strand thickness even, so mesh openings stay uniform across the whole panel

210D vs 380D: Reading the Denier

Denier is yarn linear density — a higher number means a heavier strand, and it changes net weight, water drag and cost before you even add ply. Choose the base, then scale with ply:

  • 210D — lighter panels, less drag in current, lower freight and cost per square metre; right for calm-water set nets, fingerling gear and short-soak applications
  • 380D — more material per strand, more abrasion margin against sand, shell and cage mesh; the safer default wherever netting rubs structure

Ply multiplies that base: 2–3 ply suits light duty, 5–6 ply is the common all-rounder, 8–9 ply carries market-size fish and farm-pen duty. Denier and ply combine freely, so if your spec is not listed we can build it.
